Ramadan Begins

Ramadan Begins

Friday, 24 April 2020 (All day)
About:

Ramadan is the name of the ninth month in the Islamic calendar. It is the holiest month of the year for Muslims. Fasting during Ramadan is one of the five pillars of Islam, people wake up before dawn for “suhur” (to be consumed before dawn) and then fast until sunset, where they will gather for the breaking of the fast.

Employers can take steps to ensure their staff can fast and work in the most efficient way. It is also a month of celebration and a good time to share information about Islam in your workforce to ensure that your employment practices, in relation to Muslim staff, represent best practice.
